Technology Request Process
Every year, faculty and staff are asked to submit technology requests. 鶹Ƶ has two different technology request processes. Faculty use the Academic Technology Request Process and Administrators use the Administrative Process.

Academic Technology Request Process
Historically, the Academic Technology Request form is sent out in the fall by the ATC (Academic Technology Committee) for the following fiscal year. Technology requests that are approved are fulfilled during the following summer.
Academic Technology approved for delivery in the summer of 2019:
GTS will make every effort to coordinate delivery of all approved equipment before August 16th. If we are unable to make arrangements before August 16th, equipment delivery may be delayed until after Fall Break. Undelivered approved allocations will expire on November 1, 2020, unless additional arrangements have been made.
Administrative Technology Request Process
The Administrative Technology Request process is sent out in January by 鶹Ƶ Technology Services. These requests are reviewed by GTS and fulfilled during the following summer.

Mid-Year Request Process
If you need to request a computer outside of the normal request processes, there is a , that will be reviewed by GTS on a rotating basis.

- How do I know if I need a new computer?
- As a general rule, faculty and staff can expect 4-5 years of use with their device before needing to request a new computer.
- As a general rule, student workstations can expect 6-7 years of use before needing to request a new computer.
- My computer is currently not functioning and is impeding my work, what do I do?
- If your computer is not working and you are unable to fulfill your job requirements, please contact the Technology Helpline for assistance.
How Old is My Computer?
Apple Computers
- Click the Apple Menu
- Click on About this Mac
- Under the name of the operating system, the year and model of the computer will be listed.
Windows Computers
Desktops
On the front cover, there will be a sticker denoting the model. The corresponding models and years are listed here.
