Cascade Checklist
Checklist created to help with the cascade process.
Step One: Register the Mac
Before you unbox the Mac, register the Mac in GReg and update Filemaker.
Step Two: Create the User
Power on the Mac and follow the on screen prompts. When creating the user enter their name and use their 鶹Ƶ username for the ‘Account name:’ field. Use ‘changeme’ as the password.
Step Three: Updates
Once you’ve completed the Setup Assistant the Mac desktop will appear. Shortly thereafter Managed Software Center will open and begin downloading updates. When updates have finished downloading click the install button in Managed Software Center.
Note: Enterprise Connect will open during while Managed Software Center is running. You can close out of it.
Step Four: Universal Cascade Letter
Customize (replace the items in bold italic that are placeholders) and print a Mac New Employee Letter for each user user.
