How to Create a Podcast

  1. Open Podcast Capture (follow current podcast instructions)
  2. Choose video
  3. Setup the Camera:
    1. Locate the Polycom remote in the drawer of the lecture station
    2. Press the near button to ensure the camera is not asleeep and it is displaying local video
    3. Move the camera to the desired location by pressing the number pad on the remote. Presets are set as follows:
      1. 1, 2, 3 are close up
      2. 4, 5, 6 zoomed half way in
      3. 7, 8, 9 zoomed out to see all classroom
      4. You can also manually move the camera with the arrow keys and the zoom button.
  4. Follow Podcast instructions again.


Video Conference

  1. Press Camera button on Extron Controller
  2. Turn volume down till red light blinks
  3. Locate the Polycom remote in the drawer of the lecture station
  4. Press the menu button and select Video Call

  1. Delete the address if there is one and enter the IP address or domain name of the remote location you are trying to contact. Use the right arrow to make a period.

  1. Set the speed 128 or higher - if the connection is choppy speed may be lowered

  1. Press the Call•Hang UP button on the remote
  2. Use the camera presets to user the camera
  3. Press Call•Hang-Up to disconnect
  4. Go to Address Book select who you are calling and press Call•Hang-Up

  1. Press Call•Hang-Up when done with the conference

Streaming Call

  1. Select Streaming Call
  2. Click Start
  3. When done press Call Hang-Up twice
