The Culpeper Center Reading/Studying Lounge

The Culpeper Language Center is an integral component of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. The Center is a specialized language learning computer and multi-media lab which provides students access to resources and materials in and about foreign languages. The center consists of a Macintosh-based computer lab and multimedia classroom, a media development station, a international television and DVD viewing station, a reading/studying lounge, and the office of the Culpeper Center.

The Culpeper center is maintained by Shirley Nieto Flores, the Culpeper Director, and is staffed by approximately sixteen Culpeper student employees. All members of the Culpeper staff are trained to support all the equipment in the labs, with specific focus on the computer programs most heavily used by the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures

The Culpeper Language Center is funded by the Culpeper Foundation and the Barbara Osher Foundation for the study of foreign languages.
