Hard quota
Revision as of 08:45, 20 May 2008 by Nsonsteb(talk | contribs)(What happens when I reach it?)

A hard quota is 150% of your quota. For example, if you have a quota of 200 megabytes then your hard quota would be 300 megabytes.

What happens when I reach it?

At this point, there are several things that can happen.

  1. E-mail that you send will not be saved.
  2. You are no longer able to delete any e-mail.
  3. You are no longer able to move e-mail from any of your mailboxes to a different one except the trash.
  4. You will still receive e-mail in your Inbox.

How do I fix this?

You will need to call the Technology Helpline and speak with a consultant in order to temporarily bump your hard quota. This will enable you to delete files in order to get below your quota. When you call to have a consultant bump your hard quota, you will need to delete these files by the end of the night. If you do not, you will need to call again to have your hard quota bumped again.
