E-mail forwarding

E-mail forwarding is the mechanism whereby e-mail sent to one e-mail address (the forwarding address) is automatically forwarded by the associated mail server to another e-mail address (the destination address). The destination e-mail address may equally reside on the same forwarding server or more commonly on a totally different server.
