Twitter is a free social-networking site where users can update and read each others updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based strings of 140-characters. Once a tweet is written and updated it is available for "followers" to read and respond to their updates.
Why would I use this?
It has been said that Twitter is very similar to Facebook. Twitter does away with almost all of the profile and focuses just on the updates. It is a clean and easy way to stay in touch with friends, family, and Twitter community.
