How to Create a Podcast
- Open Podcast Capture (follow current podcast instructions)
- Choose video
- Setup the Camera:
- Locate the Polycom remote in the drawer of the lecture station
- Press the near button to ensure the camera is not asleeep and it is displaying local video
- Move the camera to the desired location by pressing the number pad on the remote. Presets are set as follows:
- 1, 2, 3 are close up
- 4, 5, 6 zoomed half way in
- 7, 8, 9 zoomed out to see all classroom
- You can also manually move the camera with the arrow keys and the zoom button.
- Follow Podcast instructions again.
Video Conference
- Press Camera button on Extron Controller
- Turn volume down till red light blinks
- Locate the Polycom remote in the drawer of the lecture station
- Press the menu button and select Video Call
- Delete the address if there is one and enter the IP address or domain name of the remote location you are trying to contact. Use the right arrow to make a period.
- Set the speed 128 or higher - if the connection is choppy speed may be lowered
- Press the Call•Hang UP button on the remote
- Use the camera presets to user the camera
- Press Call•Hang-Up to disconnect
- Go to Address Book select who you are calling and press Call•Hang-Up
- Press Call•Hang-Up when done with the conference
Streaming Call
- Select Streaming Call
- Click Start
- When done press Call Hang-Up twice
Answering Calls
- Select yes when asked if you would like to answer the call
- Press Call•Hang-Up when done with the conference
