GusTv is a pilot project that allows users to access basic cable channels via their wired internet connection.
In order to watch television on your computer, you must
- Plug your computer into an Ethernet jack (IPTV does not work over wireless at this time).
- Download VLC from .
- Install VLC. If you are using Windows, make sure to check the box for the Firefox/ plugin.
Windows
If you would like to view television from within a web browser (easier to use)
- Open Firefox
- Go to
If you want to view television using VLC (more channels)
- Open VLC
- Go to View > Playlist
- Go to Manage > Services Discovery > SAP Announcements
- Wait about 30 seconds (if your firewall asks you to allow VLC to access the network, say OK).
- Click on the plus sign next to SAP Announcements to see channels. Click on 鶹Ƶ to see local channels or UCTV International to see international channels.
- Double-click on a channel to view it.
- Go to View > Full screen to view in full screen.
- For the international channels you may get better results if you go to Video > Deinterlace > Bob (that will get rid of the lines you see when there is a lot of motion).
