Boot Camp is a feature of Apple's OS X operating system that allows a user to install Microsoft's Windows on a Macintosh computer. This allows the user to have both OS X and Windows installed on the same computer.
Requirements for Running Boot Camp
To run Windows, the user must have a Macintosh desktop or laptop with an Intel-based processor. It is because of the Intel architecture of the Mac that allows for Windows to be run natively on the computer. Mac OS X must also be installed before the use of Boot Camp. These models of Mac computers are currently supported:
- Mac Laptops
- Macbook (2015 or newer)
- Air (2012 or newer)
- Pro (2012 or newer)
- Desktops
- Mac Mini (2012 or newer)
- iMac (2012 or newer)
- All iMac Pro computers
- Mac Pro (2013 or newer)
Boot Camp comes installed on Macintosh computers and can be found in Finder > Applications > Utilities. To load the newest version of Windows, you will need a USB drive with at least 8GB. You will need to
