Clocking In/Out

We will use TimeClock (timeclock.gac.edu) for you to clock in and out. Timeclock will be installed on a Helpline computer in the Helpline Computer Lab area. You will need to clock in/out for lunch.

Morning meeting

We will meet every morning in the Technology Services office in the Olin lab at 8:15am. We will run through the to-do list for the day. This meeting is run by the student duty people for the day. We also like to do show fun videos on Fridays.

Jobs for the day

During the morning meeting, we will go through the database, and your work load for the day will depend on what you volunteer for at the morning meeting. The Duty People will most likely take the cases where it will take a phone call to resolve and other jobs that will involve staying around the office. The other staff will take a wide variety of jobs, most of which include moving equipment, reimaging computers, etc. Many people volunteer with another person to take on a larger case or a problem that they would like to know more about.

Support Suite

We use Fusion to log and record the calls and other contact that we receive, the summer staff will be expected to keep up-to-date information in the database and update it frequently. If you are unsure of how to use Fusion, please talk to any one of the User Services staff.
