Filezilla is a free, open source FTP client. It supports FTP, , and FTPS (FTP over SSL/). The client is available under many platforms, binaries for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X are provided. Filezilla can be downloaded and used to access your Home Directory from off campus.
Download Filezilla
To download the latest version of Filezilla, click the following link: Then select the appropriate client download for your platform. Follow instructions for download and install.
Windows 7
- From the start menu, locate Filezilla under the its saved location then open it
- Along the Quickconnect bar, enter ftp.gac.edu in the Host Bar then follow with your username and password. Leave the Port open.
- Click Quickconnect
- Select establish a new connection, then click OK. Your home directory should open up as a new tab along the right side your current tab.
- Select the files which you would like to transfer
